We are at our last but not least (#5) Strategy for Eliminating Bad Habits! What is it? Well, I think I might want to keep you in suspense by telling you to keep reading. Hint: the clue is in the title of this blog.

The key to eliminating bad habits

Breaking a bad habit can feel like a mountain to climb, but here's the good news—you don’t have to overthink or wait for the “perfect” moment to start or restart. The key to eliminating bad habits? Jumping in with purpose and determination!


Here are some strategies to help you take the leap and make it stick:

  1. Start Small, But Start Bold Don’t overwhelm yourself with grand changes. Pick one habit and make a bold decision to address it today. Momentum begins with a single step—so start now, no hesitation! Is this starting to sound familiar yet?


  2. Replace, Don’t Erase When breaking a bad habit, replace it with a positive one. For example, if you’re trying to stop mindless snacking, replace it with a quick burst of movement like stretching or sipping on herbal tea instead. Hmmmm? Familiar?


  3. Visualize Success Close your eyes and imagine what life looks like without this habit holding you back. Feel the freedom and empowerment—that’s where you’re headed! Keep that vision in mind whenever doubt creeps in. Now is this powerful or what?! I can feel the energy coming through!


  4. Be Kind, but Consistent If you stumble, don’t throw in the towel. Show yourself grace, but don’t lose sight of your goal. Every time you get back on track, you’re building resilience and strength. Remember that you get to hit the rest button and try again...and again...and again...


  5. Get Accountability Share your goal with someone who will cheer you on and help you stay accountable. Sometimes, just knowing someone believes in you can be the extra push you need. This is so important. I can't stress it enough. I would love to be that someone for you.


The best part? You don’t have to wait for tomorrow, next Monday, or January 1st to make a change. Jump in today, take action, and watch as those small, intentional steps begin to transform your life. Remember Small hinges swing big doors.
